Chicagoland Sunday Baseball (CLSB) started in 2004 when a few towns on the south side of Chicago came together to find a way to keep the better players in the house leagues. The solution was simple, allow the kids to play in their house league and then play a part-time travel season on Sundays when the fields were empty, all for a fraction of the cost of full-time travel baseball.
Since 2004, the league has grown from 7 towns and 25 teams to over 100 towns and 360 teams in 2017. CLSB continues to thrive to this day, having over 80,000 kids participate in our league since we started.
There are 8 age groups for baseball (7u-14u) with three different skill levels for 9u-12u. In addition, there are 4 age levels for girls softball. (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U)
The only qualification to enter the league is that your roster is filled with players who only play in their house league. The games are generally played on Sundays, but we are all working together to also have Wednesday/Friday nights be available for additional games.
